Girl Scouts throughout the summer

Is your scout wanting to continue Girl Scouts throughout the summer? There are many opportunities available.
1. GSWR offers summer camps: Attend Resident Camp or Day Camp. Registered scouts should have already received the fliers. for more information contact GSWR.
2. All Scouts can work on Try-Its for Brownies, Badges for Juniors, and Interest Projects for Cadettes and Senior Scouts. Check with your leader to see which ones she recommends. You can choose which badge to work on based on what your interests are or what fun activity your family may be doing over the summer.
3. Work on a Religious Award. These awards are identical for Boy Scouts also. There is a vast number of religions that are represented. You choose which award to work on based on your religion and the Scout's level. It's a wonderful way to explore your religion. The award is usually presented to the Scout during a religious meeting/service. You can check out the website at www.praypub.org for more information.
4. Explore the Girl Scouts USA website. There are many activities that are availablr on line for all age levels at http://www.girlscouts.org/
For more information contact GSWR or your local GS District.
